1st Field Trip

This week was Caroline's first field trip to the Children's Museum. She's been SO excited for this, especially since it was scheduled for a week ago but got cancelled because of snow!

We brought Caroline's classmate and friend from church, Lucy, with us.

Playing in the "Mississippi River".

Caroline was especially looking forward to the Miniature Kroger.

They definately spent the most time climbing the "skyscraper".

Caroline LOVES the disco-dance room. Lucy was content to stand by and giggle at her silly friend!

It was interesting to have both Lucy and Caroline and see how they gravitated toward different displays. Lucy loved all the vehicles - especially the minivan. She also wanted to climb and was very good at it. But Caroline loved all of the rooms that involved a stage, dress-up, or dancing. Memphis doesn't have the best or biggest Children's Museum I've been to (I don't think we'll ever find one that tops Houston) but it's still fun to go somewhere where you can just let kids take the lead without hovering or saying, "don't touch that!" "get down!" "keep up!" They were two happy girls all morning!

Looks like tons of fun. My kids love our museum, although I'm kinda over it. We went to the Phoenix Childrens Museum over Christmas and it was AMAZING! You'll have to try it the next time you guys come down :)

we don't have much experience with children's museums but this one looks like fun! You are such a cute pregnant girl, btw!

That is so fun! Thanks for taking Lucy with you guys, she had such a fun time. She did tell me that the mini-van was one of her favorite things. She had been looking forward to this for a while now and was so excited to go with you . Do you mind sending me those pictures of the 2 of them?

I miss our Houston one, even though our kids were pretty much "too old" to go very often. We'll have to try the Phoenix one soon. I'm sure my Lucy would love to host Caroline next time you're here and we'll invite the Tucson cousins along too!

Even though it may not be the best children's museum, it looks like a blast for the kids!
