"Family Fun"

This year for Christmas, David's parents gave each of their children "Family Fun" money. We all got the same amount of money, some scrapbook supplies, and a disposable camera. We were told to use the money on family activities and take pictures of what we did. Afterward, we scrapbook the pages and give them to David's parents who will put together a big Martin Family Fun book! Fun huh? So while we were in Tucson last week, we spent our Family Fun money Here's what we did!

The Tucson Children's Museum

At first, Caroline was a little scared of the Dinosaur room, but that never lasts long for our adventureous little one! (double-click on the picture to see a classic "dinosaur face"!)

Caroline and her cousin, Brandon, loved the fire truck! They got to dress up in firemen clothes and climb on a real fire truck cab!

Caroline's favorite part was definately the miniature supermarket/kitchen/restaurant. The kids take their shopping cart and fill it with play food, check out at the register, cook it in the kitchen, then serve it in the restaurant - so fun! I think she could've stayed there all day!

The Reid Park Zoo

It was a busy day at the zoo, but we had a great time, and perfect weather!

We got to feed the giraffes which was very cool! (special thanks to Caroline's uncle Andrew for being our photographer!)

We also went to Chuck E Cheese with my brother Joe, his wife, Brooke, and their two cute little boys. The kids had a great time and the adults...well, at Chuck E Cheese's, the adults are just happy that the kids are happy! Sorry, no pictures of C.E.C. - I figured you all knew what it looks like!

Easter

(Martin Cousins!)

We had a wonderful Easter in Gilbert. Dave's family got together the day before Easter for a farewell party for his brother Ryan, who's also moving to Memphis! Overall, I think Caroline participated in about 4 Easter egg hunts that week!

We spent Easter with Dave's brother, Greg & his family. Caroline had a new frilly pink dress for church and decided that the perfect time to test its twirling capability would be in the aisle of the chapel during the choir's special musical number!

While in AZ...

We are on Day Four of our Spring Break AZ trip. So far, we've had a great time visiting family, going to the temple, and enjoying the weather. Friday was a great day - we were able to go to the temple and see Dave's friend, Jacob, get married! (yay Jacob!)

It was great to catch up with some of Dave's buddies!

Caroline called Jacob's wife, Sherri, a princess!

Girly Girl

Hooray - we have a camera once again! We got the same camera as Dave & Heather and Tad & Joy - so if either of you guys are willing to give us some lessons, we'd love it!

Caroline has recently discovered the "Princess" phenomenon that seems to have taken hold of every girl age 2 - 10! So every day she dresses up and becomes a princess. (dress and shoes courtesy of Aunt Kim and cousins Holly and Brooke) Caroline has always been a kind of rough and tumble kid so it's pretty funny to see her trying to act so dainty and girly lately!

Go Figure!

Well, wouldn't you know it! The week after I decided to start this page (mostly so I could show everyone pictures of Caroline!) our camera broke! We were in Thatcher last weekend and there were so many adorable Kodak moments that were begging to be captured and our Kodak broke! Go figure. But we've already ordered a new camera that we're very excited about and hope to be taking tons of pictures of our Arizona travels we've got planned this month! This week it's Tucson and Sierra Vista, then later this month it's Thatcher, Phoenix-area, and Tucson again! Hope to see a lot of you sometime during our "vacation"!
